Cultural Awareness

The Cultural Awareness workshop will help individuals gain a greater understanding of the local culture and enjoy a more profound experience in the UAE. This understanding will facilitate communications within both workplace and social activities. On completion of this learning package, the individual will

Identify and acknowledge Arab cultural and spiritual heritage
Understand the impact of values, biases and subjectivity on one’s attitude
Describe the various components in culture
Identify and demonstrate appropriate cultural and spiritual sensitivity in one’s approach
Be familiar with some Arabic expressions and greetings

Content includes:

Origin of Arabs and UAE history
Religion and Ramadan
Business and Law in UAE
Body Language and gestures
UAE Culture –Arabic Expressions
